– CR7 clocked 35 in February and scored 35 goals for Portugal and Juventus in the 2019-20 season
– The former Real Madrid striker was on song in the Biaconeri’s 1-1 draw with AC Milan in the Coppa Italia
Cristiano Ronaldo has continued his remarkable goal scoring form in 2020 and the Portuguese superstar has been adding up the numbers.
Just recently, the 35-year-old was on song for Juventus during their 1-1 draw with AC Milan in the Coppa Italia taking his stock to 11 in 11 matches in the New year.
Ronaldo now has two Champions League goals, two Coppa Italia goals and 20 Serie A strikes taking his total to 24 for Juventus this season.
His campaign for Portugal in the Euro 2020 qualifiers also saw the striker score 11 goals in eight matches to help his country finish behind Ukraine in Group B.
This means in the 2019-20 season alone CR7 has played 35 goals for club and country and scored 35 few days after he clocked the magic number 35.
In comparison with Ronaldo biggest rival Lionel Messi, the Barcelona captain has notched up 19 goals and 15 assists in 26 games for the Catalans.
Messi has only played two matches for Argentina since serving his four-match ban in the Copa America 2019.
But that did not stop the 32-year-old from scoring the match winner against Brazil in an international friendly and adding another in the warm up game against Uruguay.
Messi now has 19 goals in 25 matches for Barcelona this season as they trail Real Madrid on La Liga table.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has continued to be a game changer for Juventus since his arrival from Real Madrid in 2018.
The 35-year-old has scored important goals for the Bianconeri this season and is currently second on the scorers chart in Serie A behind Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.
On the other hand, it has been discovered that Maurizio Sarri’s side would not have been joint-top in the league this season if not for the Ronaldo factor, but would be languishing in eighth position.
